An ABSA certified Power Engineer and an occupational health and safety enthusiasts with business focused experience for the past 21+years: He has been responsible for the development, implementation and management of Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems in various national and multinational companies in Nigeria and Canada. He currently serves as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Coordinator and oversees a variety of programs and regulatory compliance Monitoring in line with the Canadian Food Safety Initiative (CFIA), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and the BRCGS Food Safety Standard.
His experience has contributed to the Canadian manufacturing industry while continuously improving Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) through Lean Management and a Risk Management Framework.
Prior to joining the Canadian firm, he was in Nigeria and severed in national and multinational firms and has accomplished experience in Major Offshore & Deep-Water Oil and Gas Exploration with focus on compliance monitoring across offshore assets.
His specialties border on Safe and efficient Energy Production and Ops (Boiler Management), water treatment, heating, and cooling/building management, plus ISO 45001, ISO14001, auditing, risk management, incident prevention and investigation.
Over the years, he has been an advocate for education advancement for the Nigerian youths and has been a major campaigner for inclusion and empowerment of the disabled in Nigeria. His major champaign was focused on challenging the Nigerian government on the need to improve the educational facilities in primary and secondary schools while ensuring and inclusive environment to facilitate the education of the disabled Nigerian children.
Emmanuel Jaja is a co-founder of PEN Connect which focuses on youths achieving their dreams while positively affecting the local communities. The slogan is People, Ideas and Empowerment which has been his core values for the past 21 years.
His love for youth empowerment led him to facilitate the organisation of a fair training where young people around Rivers State had the opportunity to be trained on various skills to help combat poverty while giving them a sense of belonging.
